What GPA do law schools see?

Post by bsktbll28082 » Thu May 10, 2012 6:25 am

I will be applying to law school while in my senior year and I was wondering what GPA the law schools will see. I'm assuming they'll see it up through spring 2012. Eventually, they'll see it through graduation.

When making acceptance decisions, do they only see/use up through spring 2012? Will they look at it again if it goes up during fall 2012?

They will look at the GPA that is on your transcript when you send in applications. If you apply in October/November of 2012 (Fall semester), they will see through your junior year. If they make a decision on your application before new grades come out, they won't see them. If you get waitlisted or held, however, they'll probably ask to see your Fall 2012 grades.

Thanks, thats what I thought. Guess I'll be stuck at a 3.5 then. Hopefully my summer class will go well and they'll see that too.
