I'm wondering what looks worse? One F on your transcript (the only class I will ever fail & it is not relevant to my major) OR an incomplete on my transcripts? I'm trying to decide what I should do..

Do not fail that class it will kill your lsac gpa

Don't fail the class? I'm pretty sure an 'I' on your transcript will be counted as an F in your LSDAS gpa anyways.

A zero weighted into your GPA is a zero.

If you are currently in the class and serious about law school you should consider groveling with the professor and busting your ass for the next month for even a C.

You would still have to complete the "I" or it becomes an "F" anyway right?

Take the "I" now and then make it into a "C".

DO NOT ALLOW AN F ON YOUR TRANSCRIPT.

my bad i didn't know I's could turn into other grades. but between I and F...i'd take the F. and I is so mysterious

Usually an "I" has to be completed within a set time- a semester, or a year, or sometimes only like 8 weeks after the semester ends.

A "F" never looks good on a transcript, NEVER. Take the "I", and turn it into a B or C.

It's nice that it's not relevant to your major, but this will still be pretty devastating. It absolutely will not be the thing that keeps you from getting into a law school. It absolutely will, however, have a definite negative effect on your cycle. Do what you can to get that grade as high as possible. Even a D- would be an improvement.
