Ironically, you now have bargaining power with Virginia Law.

Actually,.you know I applied to Darden, still haven't heard back. But if Darden accepts me perhaps I might try to get them to offer me full ride for a JD/MBA. Thats something I definitely would contemplate. But if i have to pay for any of it i'll just go to Dartmouth.

Go to Dartmouth so you'll be in a position to hire Virginia Law graduates. :D

What are the employment stats for Dartmouth MBA graduates ? (Starting salaries & percent employed.)

OP: Will Dartmouth's MBA program take one academic year, a calendar year or two academic years to complete ?

If the OP is able to get a job through Dartmouth, that opens up the possibility of applying to Northwestern with work experience after a few years.

Dartmouth MBA graduates do very well financially & in terms of job placement. And, yes, it probably would make the OP a more attractive candidate for Northwestern & several other T-14 law schools. Nevertheless, if OP needs two years to complete the MBA, then it may be too much "schooling" without practical experience if he continues on to law school right after MBA school.

Yeah, theres no way I would go to Northwestern right after Dartmouth. Kinda defeats the purpose of having a full ride at Tuck,..really the only thing that held me back from UVA was the debt,..although i do have a couple of misgivings about the biglaw track,..i think if they gave me a 75% scholarship or something i would have taken it.

I'm pretty sure i'll probably stick w/ Dartmouth. Only a 2 year commitment with no debt,..i don't think i'll find a better deal at this point. Especially since i still owe approx $30k in undergrad debt.

You're boned. Good luck at that TTT, Dartmouth hasn't been relevent for 50 years.

Good going. How well did you do on your GMAT?

Nothing spectacular, 710. But check this out,..because of all the studying i did for the LSAT reasoning section I absolutely crushed the GMAT verbal. Got 99% percentile w/ out even studying that section. If i didn't do so piss poor in quant I would've gotten atleast 750-760.

The funny thing is that GMAT isn't everything for B-school,...as long as you get about a 690 and above,..you're good at most of the top schools. You just really have to have an extremely well rounded application. Work experience is very important,..particularly the kind of work experience in which you've had to manage large projects or people.

Honestly, the B-school app process makes me despise Law school admissions emphasis on LSAT that much more. Can't tell you how many hours i slaved over those damn powerscore bibles for the LSAT. I studied for the GMAT a fraction of that time and still got into a great school.
