Agreed with the following caveats:
There are some constraints on how well someone can do on the LSAT.
You need to complete a major. Can't take all intro classes, but can do easiest major.
HYS care about softs unless absolute kill (4.0/176, etc.)
Very few people are jaded, cynical and rational enough to evaluate the tertiary market and say to themselves, shit,
this is all gamed bullshit, time to make the chess moves.

I would also add - start making friends with 1-2 professors very early and do really well in their class, go to office hours, etc. to get them in a solid position to write great LoR
