Can I switch to binding and take a year off?

Post by Jaeger » Tue Feb 28, 2012 6:48 pm

This may have been covered (maybe many times) but I unfortunately suck using the search function...

In any case, if I can switch my app to binding decision from RD, do I have to go to law school that year? Or does it mean I can only not go to any other school that year? The reason I ask is I plan on retaking the LSAT in June and if I appreciably raise my score I may sit out this year and reapply next cycle. However, if I don't increase my score much, I want to maximize my chances at my reach school. So can I be admitted and turn it down to sit out that cycle and reapply elsewhere next cycle?

No you don't have to attend. You can't attend anywhere else that cycle, but you can decide not to go to law school that cycle.

Thanks, that's what I figured.
