How are t-14 applicants notified?

Post by jmjones » Tue Feb 28, 2012 1:08 pm

I'm sure this has been discussed before. I would appreciate it if anyone could share a link/tell me of whether t-14 schools use email, mail or status checker to notify applicants.

Thanks.

This. T-14 schools are special, so they use different means than all other schools.

It depends on the school (and the decision). Georgetown sends your decision in the mail. Stanford calls accepted students but snail mails rejected ones. Michigan applicants find out by status checker. Etc., etc.

Cornell/NU email acceptances (although I guess you could find out a few hours earlier by status checker). UVA calls admitted students, and UVA, Penn, Columbia, Michigan, and Chicago email rejections/WLs.

I don't care that I'm the only one who gets why this is funny.

Penn Calls, Chicago Calls, NYU calls, UVA calls, Michigan status checker/email, Duke Emails, Northwestern Emails, Cornell Emails, Columbia snail mail, HYS Calls. All of those are for acceptances. I am pretty sure most of them email rejections, except for columbia and stanford I believe.
