Update schools on recent presentations?

Post by 180asBreath » Wed Feb 22, 2012 2:18 pm

I recently had a couple of submissions accepted by different international conferences and I was wondering if I should send an update to schools I've applied to; my first instinct is I shouldn't, as I already have a bunch on my resume, but I figured I'd ask - as I could be missing out on an opportunity to boost my chances, due to my own naysaying.

Do you think schools would like to know about these presentations? Oh, the scope of the work is completely tied to the law; it's not like I'm going to give a talk on something obscure.

Thanks!

Did these presentations increase your GPA or your LSAT? If not, probably not much use in doing so. Maybe if you are trying to get off of a waitlist or something *shrug*

Thanks for the reply!

Yeah, I don't think it's all that earth-shattering and it wouldn't do much to bolster my apps; if I didn't have any pubs, then it could be helpful. As it is, no big deal.
