how much do LOR's help?

Post by rglifberg » Tue Feb 21, 2012 9:01 pm

I have a really well written LOR from a chief of police, who was also a professor of mine. I also have another really well written LOR from my boss from a Fortune top 100 company. And also a decent LOR from another professor of mine who is a sergeant at another police department. Some of the schools I'm applying to only accept two letters so I will probably use the first two since they are more personalized and not too generic. Anyways, how much do these things help?

They don't help that much, but can hurt if they are bad (or luke warm if you're a borderline candidate).

Sorry, your LSAT and UGPA will carry 95% of the decision.
