Co-op before application

Post by Campfireroast » Mon Feb 20, 2012 11:09 pm

I'm currently an undergrad, and I have the option of applying for co-op. I'm wondering if it will be worth it, since I am interested in the program. How much would co-op help my chances of getting into a good law school? Would it be a huge boost to my chances (e.g. favoring applicant A, who has a slightly lower GPA than applicant B but has had co-op experience, while B does not), or would the increase be minimal (or even harmful)? Thanks in advance for all your help!

I don't understand how a co-op can hurt you.

I don't think it will make a big difference though. If you are borderline and the decision is between you and another person with the same GPA and LSAT that didn't do a co-op, then your chances might be improved.
