Rant: Why are schools spamming me...

Post by jrthor10 » Mon Feb 13, 2012 6:13 pm

with fee waivers in February??? Wouldn't the time to have been doing this be, in say, January?

Are schools getting that desperate for applicant #'s this cycle?

Can't you remove yourself from CRS?

Edit: And yeah, you'd think so, but now's the time for YP and also to try and boost their applicant numbers. ¯\(°_o)/¯

I would imagine that schools want people to pay to apply if at all possible. Towards the end of the cycle they figure that most of the students who were willing to pay their application fee have already applied (or not applied). Offering fee waivers now enables them to avoid giving fee waivers to students who were willing to pay, while getting more applications form students who were not willing to pay.
