Tax returns, trying to qualify for June

Post by CorkBoard » Thu Jan 05, 2012 8:51 am

I just became employed in December at a full time job after graduating college. I didn't have any income last year as a result of being in school full time. However, I need to register for the June LSAT and I want to start getting fee waivers.

Do I still have to fill out my 1040 as a dependent? I will NOT qualify if I'm on my parents' bill, and they're probably not likely to pay for this. I want to get few waivers for apps too. I am trying to figure out when is the soonest I can send the forms (to the IRS and lsac). I tried researching it on their website but I think my situation is time constrained as I need to register for June's test. I know I will qualify for sure.

I didn't know if anybody else had been in a similar situation as me, but I wanted to ask.

Yeah, they did. This blows. I have to pay for everything out of pocket now :(

...like most of us. I had to do the same for undergrad. Nobody cares if they can see somewhere they can say you could reasonably get money - even if you can't/money doesn't exist.
