I didn't do as well as I hoped in my December LSAT and I want to postpone applying to law until next year since I just got a job.

However, I submitted applications to a few schools back in October with my Oct LSAT score, hoping that I would do better on the December retake.

I really want to withdraw my applications since I plan to cancel December and retake next year. Anyone done this before or have an idea how to deal with this situation?

Also, what are the possible consequences of withdrawing before I get a decision from the schools I applied to?

You would approach this the same way that you would if you got into and chose another school.

"thank you for considering my application to X college of law. I have decided to gain some work experience before law school and thus would like to withdraw my application for the class of 2015. I am still interested in attending your school in the future and will look forward to applying again soon.
