Retaking in Febuary

Post by john1990 » Fri Dec 02, 2011 7:39 am

I am applying to schools with a 166/3.28 now since i would be happy with Emory (or GWU/Fordham) But i want to retake because i think i can get to a 170 if i tweak a few things. However, i am worried that with my scores i wont even make it onto the wait-list at the T14 (Cornell, U Mich, NW). How should i notify these schools that i am retaking? When should i apply to these 3? Should i bother telling schools that i can probably get into now that i'm retaking?

I'd love to know what others think about this as well because I'm in this predicament as well. I spoke to admission rep from Vandebilt on Tiesday and she said the scores are automatically sent to the schools that I applied to. But I'm still curious.

As soon as your February LSAT score is released on March 7th, the schools will automatically get it electronically.

P.S. Even if you are accepted by a school...they will still get a copy of your re-take score.

If we hapen to waitlisted, will this improve our chances or will the decision have already been made?
