How many is everyone else applying to? Thanks.
19 for me. A couple reaches, mostly targets, semi-safeties and total safeties. With fee waivers applying to a bunch of schools is totally feasible. I only paid for four of the nineteen.

i've applied to 5 so far. i would have applied to 3 or 4 more, but i got into my safety (which was odd, it was my first acceptance and they're usually pretty slow with admissions decisions...ANYWAY) so the extra 3/4 super safeties weren't necessary ;]

Don't be embarrassed. You're a super strong candidate. You're just casting a wide net because you have a lot of options and can afford to be open.
