Question about addendum

I'm applying to law schools. I took the LSAT this summer and made a 151, I retook it this Oct and made a 159. I'm wondering if I should attach an addendum for the 2 separate scores? The reason for the increase in score is really due to just having more time to prepare for the Oct exam. I was taking seminary classes through May so my time was a bit more split. I also took a Powerscore course. Just curious if 8 points is worth writing an addendum?

IMO, probably not.

Some schools will explicitly request one. Just something to watch out for.

Only write an addendum if there is something extenuating or really odd about your application. An increase in LSAT isn't inherently suspect by any means. Getting a 4.0 in 3 years of undergrad, but having a 2.8 in one year is very suspect and you need to fill in the hole since they will be left guessing. Scoring horribly on the LSAT because you went in with the flu, but then improved 15 deserves an addendum because there is an extenuating circumstance underlying the lower score. There is nothing suspect about your application, nor is there anything extenuating regarding the actual circumstances.

No, unless explicitly asked for.
