Georgetown LOR Policy

Post by LSHopeful91 » Sat Nov 12, 2011 6:07 pm

Is 1 LOR okay for Georgetown, or has it been generally advised to go with 2? I'm sure there's another thread on here that's already answered the question, so if somebody could direct me to it (or just answer the question) I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I would strongly recommend getting at least 2. I believe 3 is the optimal number, but at least 2 academic LORs is advised.

Georgetown create the impression that they care about your LORs: they send your letter writers emails, and appear to vary the content according to what was in the letter. The email talks about how much they appreciate letter writers.

Seems like it would be best to send two - unless the second one would be unimpressive.
