Postponing graduation to boost GPA, but still below median?
I'm debating whether I should take 2-3 additional classes to boost my projected GPA from 3.35 to 3.4 at graduation. Would it be worthwhile for me to postpone my graduation to the Summer of 2012, despite a new GPA that is still below median?
My target schools are NYU, UPenn & Cornell. What are their GPA floors?
Thanks.

Floors:
NYU-3.35
Penn-3.4
Cornell-3.3
Obviously not absolutes though, how hard or soft a school's GPA floor is varies as well.

No, probably taking the LSAT in June of 2012. I'm PTing in the 165-170 range right now.bdubs wrote:Do you have an LSAT score?

Maybe a year gaining some work experience would be more fruitful in the long run and for the big picture.CCNhopeful wrote:I'm debating whether I should take 2-3 additional classes to boost my projected GPA from 3.35 to 3.4 at graduation. I have a 3.23 and graduated in 3 years.
This was a huge mistake on my part.
I'd give an ovary to have a 3.3 instead of a 3.23.

I'll be 24 next year/cycle so I do have some work experience under my belt, nothing spectacular though.Curious1 wrote:Maybe a year gaining some work experience would be more fruitful in the long run and for the big picture.CCNhopeful wrote:I'm debating whether I should take 2-3 additional classes to boost my projected GPA from 3.35 to 3.4 at graduation. Thanks for the input. Hopefully I can bring my PT scores to the 170+ range by June.JamMasterJ wrote:gonna need to bring that up a bit to overcome the gpaCCNhopeful wrote:No, probably taking the LSAT in June of 2012. I'm PTing in the 165-170 range right now.bdubs wrote:Do you have an LSAT score?
