Tailored LOR ?
I have a professor who is writing me a LOR that got his LLM at Georgetown. Would it be advantageous to have him tailor the letter to Georgetown? Wasn't sure because it's just an LLM and not a JD or undergrad. Thoughts?

I can't see how it would hurt. Just make sure you don't send that tailored letter to other schools

Re: Tailored LOR ?
Two lawyers I'm friends with sent tailored recommendation letters to the schools they attended. I think it's very valuable, but with a tailored letter its very important that the person truly know you, since they're writing not only about their impression of you, but how you would fit into their school, and whether they believe you'd be a valuable alumni like them. Getting someone you barely know to write a tailored letter can come off much worse than a standard professor letter.
TLDR: High Risk, high reward. Personal connection is much more important, imo.

Re: Tailored LOR ?
My only concern was that it's LLM and it's not like he was there for 3 or 4 years but just the duration of the LLM
