Need Opinions - Work experience vs. involvement

Post by Killingly » Thu Oct 27, 2011 10:31 am

I'm a Resident Assistant at my undergrad. I have this listed under the "involvement" section of my resume, but I'm not sure if I should also be including it in the "work experience" section, both on the resume and on apps when they ask. I do receive a stipend and am "employed" by my undergrad, but I have no set hours. Thoughts?

I'd go with experience although I'm not a fan of an "involvement" label anyhow. It isn't very standard for resumes. Education, Experience, Interests, etc. Involvement at a school should be listed under that school, under Education.

Thanks. How would you say I go about reporting hours? Just say "hours vary?"

I have never put hours for any job on any resume. Just title, dates, and a breakdown of responsibilities/achievements there. Don't elaborate too much...an RA deserves a bullet or two and that's it.
