Sending applications before rec's are in...

Postby airbear1012 » Wed Oct 26, 2011 11:10 pm

Is this okay? Will LSAC just update my applications once the letters come in? Or do I need to wait for my letters to be processed before I apply anywhere?

I think it's proper form to wait until you have all your basic stuff (transc/LORs/etc) before sending out your apps.

I'm also fairly sure LSAC won't let you send your app through them until you have the minimum # of LORs attached to a school.

You may be able to apply through the school's website, but just not submit your credentials. Bottom line, though, is that your app will not go complete until everything is in.

I've applied to a couple schools even though I haven't got my letters yet. I did this for ED/EA at several schools since they require that you submit your app by Nov 1st/15 but don't require your file to be complete till the 15th/Dec 1st. I got an email saying LSAC hasn't received letters yet, but I think once they do they send the complete file over to the school.
