176, 3.0 headscratcher
176. 3.0 (although the vast majority of my work undergrad was ungraded, so the GPA doesn't mean much... they will see this) I went to a very good undergrad college, been out for nine years. Ran a sizeable business, some decent internships, solid recs.
Can I even consider YHS? Can I be somewhat confident at Berkeley?

HYS and Boalt are out.
Best chance at T-14 is Northwestern.

I would apply to the t-14 and a lot of T-30. Being out for 9 years make you a bit of a wild card. Follow the fee waivers(you will get a lot).

Check out lawschoolnumbers.com for a breakdown of how splitters with your numbers panned out the last few years. That should give you a good indication of how you'll fare this year.
I'd hazard a guess that unless the sizable business you ran the last 9 years involved rescuing and curing African orphans of various life-threatening diseases, YHS are probably out. Boalt would at least be worth the application fee. They're pretty generous with their scholarship match if you can get past the admissions part.
You'll get at least some of the lower T14, probably with money.
Edited for typo.

Yeah, OP might get in - but he was just going off of what is on LSN and LSP. Schools have GPA floors, where they will usually not take anyone under that floor (say 3.4 for Chicago). There have been tons of threads on this; someone even created an Excel sheet with all GPA floors of the T25.tennisking88 wrote:How do you know? Apply to all bro. Best of luck to the OP. I don't see why you should be kept out of any school - congrats on the LSAT.

Weird Brown comment (I went to BIG STATE U). But yeah, OP can apply to all, but as it's already been said -- a lot of schools have pretty firm GPA floors that OP is substantially beneath.tennisking88 wrote:How do you know? Apply to all bro. Supposedly, Brown students take many classes pass/fail.Transferthrowaway wrote: Weird Brown comment (I went to BIG STATE U)

The Brown University comment probably was referring to OP's comment that most undergraduate courses were ungraded.
OP: Since your circumstances include 9 years of successful work experience & mostly ungraded undergraduate courses on your transcript, you just need to apply to all Top 17 law schools that interest you including Berkeley, Yale, Stanford & Harvard to see which ones make an offer of admission.

Thanks all, sent out Cornell today, probably all the rest of the top 25, minus maybe yhs if I'm feeling cheap. Plus boulder, Hastings, a couple others.
