Assigning New LORs After Completed File

Postby Real Madrid » Sat Oct 22, 2011 10:54 am

Does this delay decisions? I got an LOR in the past few days that I would like to add to applications, but I don't want to screw up the review process and postpone any potential decisions.

I've actually done this. What will happen is LSAC will send the new material off to the law school, the law school will get it and most likely review it.

As for postponing your decision because of it, that depends on the school. Several schools state that once the minimum number of LORs are received, they begin reviewing your application. So, chances are they've probably placed you UR (assuming you have all other documents properly submitted), but will still take the LOR under consideration. It shouldn't have much of an effect on when they come to a decision.
