Asking Cornell for a fee waiver...
Does it work?
It's a huge/insane reach for me so I probably won't bother applying at all if they don't give waivers. I am guessing they don't.

They offer need-based waivers. But it's something of a pain since they want tax docs, etc., but probably worth it if you qualify for the need-based waiver.

I received a merit based waiver from Cornell in the mail. I'm above both medians, but I think it's worth a try regardless.

Cornell is stingy, if you didn't get a merit based waiver in their wave and don't qualify for need based waiver then you probably won't get one.

Well, you see, I took the LSAT for the first time in October so I don't have an LSAT score yet. I know my score won't be above Cornell's median so that's why I am very apprehensive about applying at all. Without a fee waiver, it will probably be a waste of money. My GPA, however, is above their 75th%. I was able to get some fee waivers from some T2s and T3s just by giving them my GPA but I don't think that will fly with a school like Cornell.

Wait for the LSAT score to come through. T-14's all want to know your gpa and lsat before they hand out merit based waivers. You won't really know how you did until you find out on the 24th/26th so don't worry so much now. But I hope you did well!
