One year of anatomy, chem and math are the usual requirements.

Though, according to all the infomercials it's a rapidly expanding field with zero risk of unemployment.
And besides, by the time I finish my pre-reqs and apply to a PA program and complete, it would a little over 3 years for the entire process. And unlike some law school students, I will be tested constantly and put on the spot to address a problem with a patient. I believe this path is more demanding. I just like that all my hard work will reap some sort of finacial reward and be emotionally gratifying as well.

That's a step I have already taken. Its actually apart of the application process. My sister works in NY Presbyterian and has connected me with a PA there who will allow me to shadow her. It should start in the beginning of October.

Edit: A pulse is necessary.
OP specifically championed the field based on the easy prereqs.
Reading your comments just leads me to believe that you are COMPLETELY ignorant of the PA field on a whole. The pre-reqs are far from easy. If I wanted the easy way out I would stick to the law school plan. But the return for the investment is assinine. And I will more likely have job satisfaction as a PA. I have done extensive research into the field and have found too many pros to ignore it.

I never once said the prereqs ARE easy. Major RC fail.whattheheck wrote:It doesn't matter what background you have. You just need the pre reqs to apply. It will take me a year to rack up the pre reqs.

I said you stated they were easy, as it appears you did in fact do. I do not call 1 year and anatomy, chem and math difficult.
(I just checked, I have the prereqs already)

Rule number one of infomercials: If there are infomercials, avoid it.JenDarby wrote:The fact that you are so easily willing to select a career based on minimal prerequisites and expediency of getting in the entry level door pretty much summarizes why you should never go to law school.whattheheck wrote:Physician Assistant, Here I come!!!!!!

I thought you were implying me taking classes that required the least amount of care. I just never thought of these classes requiring that especially since seats in these programs are harder to obtain then a seat in law school.
I have no quams with being corrected but where did I say that they were EASY???

Its hilarious to see how you are actually trying to demean a professional career such as this one. Well I am not sure if you are an 0L, 1L, 2L 3L. Its not worth looking into.
But I sure hope you are someone who has passed the bar with a lucrative position or at least expecting 0 debt once you get out.
