Delay Application for 3rd LOR?
I already have two decent academic LORs, and I plan on applying at the end of September. I can get a third from an employer, but it would probably delay my application until the end of October. Does the third LOR matter much? Is applying by the end of October still early?

I have the exact same issue. I'm sending in apps for the schools that ask strictly for 2 LORs now and holding off on the schools which prompt "if you've been working for X amount of time, a professional LOR may be useful as well". Northwestern only wants to see a professional LOR if you already have full time work experience IIRC (they aren't interested in academic ones) so I believe it differs for different schools.
