early birds at T14

Post by icpb » Wed Aug 31, 2011 7:49 pm

At which of the T14 schools would getting your application in before October 1st offer significant advantage as opposed to getting it in after October 1st? I will correct/update this list for those early birds who are wondering about this as well.

Yale: doesn't matter much
Harvard: ?
Stanford: ?
Columbia: ?
Chicago: ?
NYU: doesn't matter much
Michigan: doesn't matter much
Penn: ?
Berkeley: ?
UVa: ?
Duke: doesn't matter much
Northwestern: doesn't matter much
Cornell: doesn't matter much
Georgetown: doesn't matter much

October 1 isn't at all late. From pretty much every school I spoke with, "early" is defined as before Thanksgiving, since that is when a large rush of applications start coming in and the pile really begins to grow. So I'm not sure what significance, if any, October 1 would have.
