A silly/basic question I need answering

Postby mister logical » Wed Aug 31, 2011 4:47 pm

Hi there, I have a basic question I need answering because I haven't found the information anywhere else.

There is both a paper aspect to the law school applications process, and the LSAC aspect of the application. When I send in my paper application to my chosen law schools, do I also send in a copy of my personal statement/LOT/resume? Or do I just give them my LSAC code, and everything is sent to them?

Many thanks in advance.

You usually can do everything through LSAC. Not sure what you're talking about.

You fill out and submit the schools' apps via LSAC. At no point do you fill out and mail in a paper app.

so the applications available on law schools' websites are for people not using LSAC? example: http://utdirect.utexas.edu/loadm/areq.WBX?page_switch=1

those are just templates so people can see things like "is the diversity statement separate from the personal statement?" How long do the essays have to be? What are the optional essays people can write for a school? etc etc etc they are not the applications you use to apply. As far as I know you MUST use LSAC.
