Question about LSDAS GPA & final part of academic record

First time poster, long time lurker. I had a question about LSDAS GPA and how it will be used in this specific situation:

Quick background:
I have a little more than a year or so left of UG (will be graduating upon completion of Fall '12 semester and seek to apply to LS in the same semester.

I understand it's best to apply as early as possible in the game (e.g. in October). However, what would happen with the following?:
-I apply to a first batch of law schools in October '12, while I'm still in my final academic semester (Fall '12) of courses.
-I then apply to a second batch of law schools as soon as I'm done with those Fall '12 courses and their grades arrive -- say in mid December '12.

Question: Would those Fall '12 semester grades be able to be added to my LSDAS GPA and be used for the second batch of applications, even though the first batch didn't have them (and therefore the LSDAS GPA was different, not including the most recent grades)? Or is it the case that once you apply, your LSDAS GPA is set in stone -- even if you'll still want to use grades from 1 more [pending] term, after which you'll then immediately apply?

Thank you in advance.

Your LSAC GPA will update when they receive your Fall '12 transcripts. It can take anywhere from 1-3 weeks.

LSAC's support team is damn good. Just contact them directly and you will quickly have an answer from an expert. When I updated my transcripts it took like three days for the new GPA to be filed.

Not only will the second batch have the updated GPA, the first batch will too. So, if they haven't made a decision by then, they'll have your new grades to look at. Your LSAC GPA is not set in stone until you earn your first bachelor's degree.

Gratzi to all of you for the answers. It's relieving to learn that the LSAC support team is reputable.

Good deal.
