Okay ? Regardless of who cares , the data is still valuable to a large portion of TLS. Debating about whether or not you should care seems a little childish/par for TLS. Just post it if you know it.Emma. wrote:I don't think anyone denies it is important to people applying, the point is once you are attending a school you are not really going to care anymore.Sandro wrote:Not to mention its pretty important to people applying in a month or so. It's to build pride for the school: "This year's entering class arrives with an impressive 170 median!" or whatever.
I'm not saying you should care, but people do.

Re: ITT: New School Medians Revealed From Orientations
someone in the Michigan 2011/2012 cycle thread posted that someone in the admissions office told them the median is remaining at 169. Reliable enough for an OP update?

Also, you should post either the old medians or the change (+1 LSAT / -.02 GPA)
Fordham's orientation is the 22-25th if anyone cares

Duke: 170/3.75
http://www.law.duke.edu/admis/classprofile
Edit: Looks like last year it was 170/3.80
Edit 2: Also dropped class size to 212, down from ~240 (over-enrolled) last year

I will be submitting Notre Dame's numbers soon, if they provide them. Should be tomorrow if my extensive calculations are correct.

Also, for anyone attending a school not listed, please inform us of your school's updated medians if you find them out; I just got tired of looking up orientation dates after the top 20 schools.

UC Hastings hasn't announced their scores yet and orientation ends tomorrow morning.. I guess that's a bad sign.

I detest Real Madrid the soccer club as a symbol of the Franco regime. But Real Madrid the poster has come up with a very helpful thread. Thanks bud.
Interesting that so far (repeat: so far), no LSAT medians have declined and GPA medians have gone up for some schools and down for others. In a year of reduced applications, that seems surprising.

Most schools just reduced class sizes so their medians wouldn't be affected. This is generally a good thing, less future competition for jobs.Robespierre wrote:I detest Real Madrid the soccer club as a symbol of the Franco regime. I'm shocked that they would give up revenue. Goes against the TLS conventional wisdom that law schools are cash cows for their universities, to be milked to the utmost. Are you referring to lower-ranked schools, or was there class-shrinking across the board?NYC Law wrote:Most schools just reduced class sizes so their medians wouldn't be affected. Re: ITT: New School Medians Revealed From Orientations
Across the board, I know many in the T30 at least have reduced class sizes, not too sure about T14. Reducing class sizes still helps them if not everyone does it, they'll lower acceptance rate and increase their medians relative to competitor schools, causing a ranking jump. This will encourage more alumni donations and of course increased applications for future cycles.Robespierre wrote:I'm shocked that they would give up revenue. Kind of surprised USC is 167. Might be WUSTL's ridiculous 168 wall will be "worth it" and let them jump USC.
