They announced the ACT and GPA medians at my UG...

It's to build pride for the school: "This year's entering class arrives with an impressive 170 median!" or whatever.

I'm not saying you should care, but people do.

Not to mention its pretty important to people applying in a month or so. I guess people are trying to be cool by exclaiming they dont care, and how dare you ask them for that info ?

I don't think anyone denies it is important to people applying, the point is once you are attending a school you are not really going to care anymore.

Okay ? Regardless of who cares , the data is still valuable to a large portion of TLS. Debating about whether or not you should care seems a little childish/par for TLS. Just post it if you know it.

Nothing says accomplished like the middle student of one year's class answering one more LSAT question correctly than the previous year's. Definitely something to be proud of.

I'm shocked that they would give up revenue. Goes against the TLS conventional wisdom that law schools are cash cows for their universities, to be milked to the utmost. Are you referring to lower-ranked schools, or was there class-shrinking across the board?

Across the board, I know many in the T30 at least have reduced class sizes, not too sure about T14. Reducing class sizes still helps them if not everyone does it, they'll lower acceptance rate and increase their medians relative to competitor schools, causing a ranking jump. This will encourage more alumni donations and of course increased applications for future cycles.
