Seriously, nothing from WUSTL / Cornell? Hasn't it been two weeks since the start of their orientations? Now I'm hoping their numbers stayed flat or dropped...

Really not sure what's going on with WUSTL. I still will be surprised if we didn't hit 168 based on that LSN graph, but I also thought the school would be wanting to brag about it as soon as the class was finalized.

I emailed Cornell about two weeks ago. They said the medians would be up on the website by the end of August. Still nothing though.

Yeah, the class size shrunk from 203 to 180. Also, the GPA is up .05 and not .03. Previous GPA: 3.59, New GPA: 3.64. I'm guessing some schools are thinking the drop in cash due to enrollment is preferable over a drop in medians.

ETA: After reading some of the articles about the national drop in law school enrollment, I just realized some schools might offset the drop in enrollment by increasing tuition. If a substantial increase in tuition occurs, I'll definitely be much more inclined to say screw it to law school.

That's interesting. UMN increased tuition by 6000, and haven't released their medians or class size yet. I do know that the university as a whole has terrible budget problems though.

The state is fine, they just pass on the problems to the University System and K12 eductation every time there is a shortfall.

Sound the trumpet! Bang the drum! The new medians are out for that law school beloved of all TLSers ... NYLS!

2011 medians: 154/3.25. That's -1 on the LSAT, -.05 on GPA.

And the class shrank (I kid you not) from 641 to 486. The cuts were predominantly in the day program, not the evening.

Awesome. Shrinking class sizes, pending law suits, a plethora of info on the web anytime you do so much as a google search regarding one of the schools, fewer applicants... Can this finally be the beginning of the end for TTTTs?

Awesome news. Considering each student pays about 45k per year in tuition and they lost 155 students, that's almost 7 million per year, or almost 21 million for the entire 3 years.

Now I'm eagerly awaiting Cooley's numbers. Will Cooley finally reach a 100% acceptance rate? Will Cooley finally be the first law school with a sub-140 LSAT median? Will Cooley finally reach number 1 in its own rankings?

Sorry if this has been posted already ...

American U per website: 162/3.45. That's -1 on LSAT, +.05 on GPA. Class was shrunk from 502 to 475, with all the cuts in the day program (evening actually grew).

Not necessarily, you're non-trad and at least 25% of the class is 166 or less.

Just craft as strong an application as you can- that's all any of us can do at the end of the day.

Interesting, and that's with a drop of 56 in enrollment. That's slightly more than a 17% decrease in first-year class size and they were still unable to maintain their medians.

2011:
Applications received: 4,144
Enrolled class: 270
Day Division: 220
Evening Division: 50

2010:
Applications received: 4,682
Enrolled class: 326
Day Division: 274
Evening Division: 52
