Haha, right on. That's how I approach life. "It's ok, the LSAT curve will be really low generous upcoming October so you'll have to score at least a 170."avemundi wrote:KevinP, we think alike. That's basically what I tell myself every night before bed these days.
"Shhh, it'll be ok, applicants will be down, the law schools will HAVE to accept you, if not for your intelligence and promise, then to add to their head count...shhh, relax, go to sleep...."
+1, especially for Cornell. I know Cornell was ridiculously slow getting the information out last year.avemundi wrote:any news on cornell and penn?

Re: ITT: New School Medians Revealed
Here's some more data:
Charleston (Full Time): 153(-2), 3.2(-.05)
Charleston (Part Time): 148(-3), 2.88(-.16)
Notre Dame: 166(-1), 3.64(+.07)
University of Louisville: 156(-1), 3.42(+.02)
University of Tennessee: 160(no change), 3.53(-.07)
W&L: 164(-2), 3.65(+0.21)
With the exception of Notre Dame, I think all of the listed schools had a decrease in enrollment. I could be wrong though since I'm working from memory. I realize most people don't care about the numbers for TTT schools but I am interested in how the drop affected law schools overall. If people want me to post info only on schools above a certain threshold, let me know.

Penn: Class size is 266 now I think. They read a bunch of other info but did not (made a point of it) read the median numbers. Will probably have to wait for the website to update. Sounds like everything that goes on the class stats page was read at orientation except the 2 numbers.avemundi wrote:any news on cornell and penn?

Here's some more data:
Yale: 173 (no change), 3.9 (-.01)
UC Davis: 164 (no change), 3.63 (-.06)
ETA: I think the ABA data for UC Davis is outdated so I made a quick fix.
Old data (no guarantee of accuracy since it could be updated at any time): http://www.law.ucdavis.edu/prospective/ ... ofile.html
New data: http://www.law.ucdavis.edu/news/news.aspx?id=3411
Yale: 173 (no change), 3.9 (-.01)
UC Davis: 164 (no change), 3.63 (-.06)
If I were to guess, I'd guess it probably has something to do with ND's religious affiliation...UnamSanctam wrote:These are relevant to my interests if I get shut out of the T14, especially ND.KevinP wrote:Notre Dame: 166(-1), 3.64(+.07)

Nope, just want to stay as close to Michigan/Midwest as I can. UIUC is in on my radar for that same reason.KevinP wrote:Here's some more data:

I thought the medians at Harvard and Yale were 174 last year? 173 would give me a slightly better chance, I hope.KevinP wrote:Here's some more data:

Re: ITT: New School Medians Revealed
Can anyone give me accurate data for UC Davis's medians last year? I'm getting conflicting info from their website, the ABA guide, and last year's medians thread. I edited my original post to include links for where I got my data.
Gotcha. I'm also leaning towards staying as close to in-state as possible.UnamSanctam wrote: Nope, just want to stay as close to Michigan/Midwest as I can. UIUC is in on my radar for that same reason.
All right, good to know .Pleasye wrote: The information on schools besides the T14 is of interest to some of us so thank you!
No word from Berkeley yet. Similar to what you said, basing one's admission chances on Berkeley's medians, especially for the LSAT, is about as reliable as choosing which school to attend based on Cooley's rankings.avemundi wrote:BTW, what about Berkeley? I'm not 100% sure if this is up to date (but all the other info on that page appears to be current, and the medians differ from the 2010 entering class), but it looks like the new medians are up for Fordham.

I kinda hope that isn't the right data, but looks like it is

Bad news for the ranking, but that doesn't really matter anyway as long as this isn't a continual trend.

It raises the specter of Cardozo having higher medians than Fordham some time in the near future. Not saying that will happen, but it's gotta be a concern for Fordham.NYC Law wrote:I guess it is good news.Trequartista wrote:Why do you hope this isn't right?
