what's a "normal vacation period"? (resume question)
I noticed that UChi asks for some extra explanation on your resume if your education/employment has been interrupted for more than a "normal vacation period." What's the typical length of time they'd have in mind?

Probably depends on where you are in life. If you're still in / fresh out of undergrad, a whole summer off is probably reasonable, or even more if you did the travel / "discover yourself" thing. If you've been working for several years, anything more than a month or two between jobs might be a little questionable.curiouscat wrote:I noticed that UChi asks for some extra explanation on your resume if your education/employment has been interrupted for more than a "normal vacation period." I would guess that it means the length of a summer vacation during undergrad.curiouscat wrote:I noticed that UChi asks for some extra explanation on your resume if your education/employment has been interrupted for more than a "normal vacation period." Thanks, everyone! I'll try to get in touch with them. I'll update this thread if I get a response in case someone else had that question too.
