Updating transcripts

Couldn't find an answer to this, but I was originally going to apply last cycle, during my senior year. Submitted my transcripts through 6 semesters before fall grades came in - if I am now applying this cycle, do I need to update them completely before applying at all this cycle? I know I would have to before actually attending but my GPA is .15 lower now than it was originally which kind of sucks, but I had pushed law school out of my mind and didn't really care about grades, big mistake obviously.

If the omission is blatant, schools will probably request an updated transcript (Columbia for sure). If schools request an updated transcript and it's lower, it gives the impression that you were trying to hide it. I don't see any benefit to withholding besides the obvious attempt to fool adcomms. It's your call though. If you have to write an addendum, don't use the pushed-law-school-outta-mind-and-didn't-care-about-grades excuse.

I'm curious, what made you reconsider your decision not to go to Law School?

For the past few years there have been 2 things I really wanted to do, and law school went from #1 to #2 and with all the people saying don't go to law school unless you KNOW it is 100% what you wanna get into, I put it on the backburner. Having done the other one, I found that it was not nearly as enjoyable as I anticipated it to be and can't really see myself doing it long term.

Thanks for the advice though will update my transcript.
