What do i need to get in order to break the t-14

Post by pb0820a » Fri Jul 08, 2011 2:42 pm

GPA: 3.59 LSAT: 159 bombed RC -16
URM: Cuban/Puerto Rican
undergrad: Top-50
I already signed up for the October exam, but I want to know how much higher I need to score in order to have a chance at a top school. I have good softs I am currently clerking at a V-50 firm. I have studied and interned abroad and have a lot of volunteer experience. I am also willing to ED at a school. Can someone please give me advice?

Well I'm not an expert but I think it may be a good idea to study up and re-take the LSATs to get a higher score.

IIRC, I think low 160's will make it possible and mid 160's plus should make it a good chance, but I could be wrong since it's been a while from the last time I looked at LSN.

You probably need to jump at least 10 points to really be safely into the T14.

LSP turns him into an admit at Cornell after hitting 168... The biggest issue is his GPA coupling with a low LSAT... if he was even 3.7 with the URM his LSAT wouldn't need to jump far.

LSP is meaningless when you can look at LSN.

163+ should almost guarantee at least Cornell...you'll probably get a waitlist as it stands now.

+1. Low 160s may give you a fighting chance. But a LSAT in an upper 160s increases that chance significantly given your URM status.
