I thought just 170s were getting the discounts? I have 168 3.4 and got the waiver.

They're just adding insult to injury. I had received no fee waivers before this, and finally I get an e-mail and it's like 'CONGRATS we'd like to offer you a fee waiver, wait hold on make that a discount actually'

I got the e-mail and it doesn't say "Fee Waiver," it just advertises the free app this year.

Engineering is a great pairing with a JD!
 same note here, except not engineering.

Got Emory and Washington & Lee waiver emails this morning.

Edit--- after reading other posts I guess I should specify--- full waiver. The subject is actually "apply to emory law for free"

That was what the wording of the email indicated to me too. Either way it's free I suppose.

I just noticed that LSAC lists Emory's application fee as $40. May not really a discount at all?

EDIT: Found out it's $40 for everyone during the month of September. I guess if you get the "discount" it stays $40 through the cycle.

Was messing around with a couple of the applications that are available. I have fee waivers for W&M and W&L. When I make them active, though, W&M shows a $50 application fee under step 3 when viewed under "Active Applications" while W&L shows $0. Should the W&M fee show $0, or does it simply get waived when you go to pay?

Edit: nevermind, just saw above that W&L is a free app this year.

Emailed Rutgers-N and Villanova asking about fee waivers:
Rutgers-N said they do need-based waivers.
Villanova said they only offer need-based waivers at this time. Not sure if that means they'll do merit later, or not at all.

Asked for, and received, fee waivers from:
SMU
Wake Forest (have to email them back later to get a code)
Temple
