Yeah, but as a splitter I'm kinda hoping it's only WUSTL being WUSTL, though, and not that all schools only grant waivers on the basis of LSAT scores.soj wrote:You mean WUSTL's decisions are based only on the LSAT?Yeshia90 wrote:The wording of the WUSTL makes me think CRS is only LSAT-based.
Say it ain't so!

Re: 2011-12 Cycle Fee Waiver Tracking
I got WUSTL fee waiver, yay! My LSAT is terrible according to TLS standards but I got a lot of fee waiver based on my GPA. WUSTL email states:
Based on your undergraduate GPA, I invite you to apply to Washington University School of Law and I am pleased to offer you an application fee waiver.
I think you guys call ppl like me reverse splitter?

I'm in the South and swept the T14.kulshan wrote:Interesting... I'm currently in the Mountain West, but I went to undergrad in some other region (it seems like different schools carve them up differently... either Midwest or South Central).MumofCad wrote:I'm pretty sure I haven't got a Columbia one yet either kulshan and we're pretty tight number-wise. Either they aren't done sending them out yet, or they factored out our range. It really is just based on 2 little numbers, so it shouldn't be random. It might be that they can target certain geographic areas/numbers ranges - like say they know that most in your number range don't matriculate even if admitted EXCEPT if they are from New York/New Jersey or something. That might account for some variation.
Got WUSTL too.

Never mind. I did get one from Columbia. Not sure if it was hidden or I just missed an email. I've been deleting them pretty quick since all my apps are in and a local law fair has caused me to be inundated with "stop by and say hi" emails. My bad.

Solicited Fordham and GW last week. Fordham only grants need-based waivers, haven't heard back from GW.

Cardozo fee waiver via email. Of course I did request one a while ago, but they told me I had to send in a resume and some other information, which I hadn't done yet.

Columbia! pretty clear that it's only based on the LSAT though.

I'm excited to see this viewbook. Also they stressed like 6 times that the waiver is based on LSAT ONLY.
I guess some schools are on GPA, and some are both?

Re: 2011-12 Cycle Fee Waiver Tracking
So last year I had a 165 and I got a WUSTL waiver. This year I have a 171 and I didn't get a WUSTL waiver, even after forwarding them the one they sent me last year and giving them my updated info. Should I just assume no response from them means i'm not gonna get a waiver? Or should I call them and ask (since they're not responding to e-mails)? Or just wait it out a little longer?
And no it hasn't nothing to do with my CRS not being updated or something cause i've received unsolicited waivers from multiple T14's and other schools.

Aren't you waived from paying for apps if you applied the year before?sanetruth wrote:So last year I had a 165 and I got a WUSTL waiver. First of all, I've never heard that. And second of all I didn't apply last year. I just had an LSAT and had already registered for CRS.minnbills wrote:Aren't you waived from paying for apps if you applied the year before?sanetruth wrote:So last year I had a 165 and I got a WUSTL waiver. I got it too. And they are sending a viewbook... exciting...basilseal wrote:Columbia email too, ditto the LSAT data.
Yeah, odd how they kept emphasizing the LSAT thing. Especially considering the fact that I got the waiver and my LSAT is 169. I felt like their disclaimer (basically - getting the waiver doesn't mean you will get in) was directed squarely at me.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
