Duke fee waiver by email. No mention of Priority Track though... Am I correct in believing that PT isn't automatically assumed in a fee waiver?

I got this too.

Yeah from what people were saying a few weeks ago (I think it was a few weeks ago?), it seems like the priority track designation would be mentioned in the email.

My lsat is 169. Maybe they have a cutoff for the priority track and we fell short? Whatever still glad to get the waiver!

I got Michigan earlier this week, fee waiver + the personal note.
so_fetch wrote:Anyone get a post card (no fee waiver) from Penn State? I thought it was absurd. It just said "we are penn state" on one side, and had the football schedule on the other side. And then the phone number for the admissions office. Maybe I am just not a big enough sports fan to appreciate this approach
Yes! I almost kept this one for the humor of it - the football schedule on the other side of the card?!

Got Duke email w/ priority track (which I just realized today needs to be registered for!) in Aug, Michigan in the mail yesterday with a cute handwritten note. Emory, W&L and someplace called Charlotte School of Law too via email.

But no Cornell! :(

My Michigan viewbook was sent to my permanent address instead of to my campus address. To those who got them, can you tell me whereabouts in the viewbook the waiver/note are so I can call home and see if I got them? Thanks!

Just got UChi too and doing a happy dance! It was the last holdout among the 7 schools I am applying to (well of the ones that offer fee waivers). These things are great! I've gone from thinking I was going to be paying around $700 in application fees to a lowly $300 or so.

I was snubbed by Michigan and Cornell as well. I'm currently planning on soliciting one in a couple of weeks once my LOR's are in and personal statement finalized.

Assuming its the same for everyone else as for me...When you open the envelope there are two letters on top of the viewbook. The first one is talking about the fee waiver, and the second one was from Dean Z (& includes the personal note at the end).

Also, they don't give you a fee waiver number to use or something -- they tell you that when you go online to apply, the waiver should be in effect and you will not need to pay actual $. I forget which forum but somewhere on here in the past, people have talked about how to find "hidden" fee waivers. So you could theoretically check using that method if you are not sure what came in the envelope.

edit--- o yea I got Chicago too! Did not want to put two separate posts in row! 8)
