TLS Founder interviewed on CNBC

Post by Ken » Thu Jun 30, 2011 9:56 pm

Dear TLS Members,

I am so proud to have created TLS and am honored to be part of this community. For those who do not know, I was an attorney for many years at Silicon Valley's largest firm (Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati) then created my own law practice that I had for several years. But I have always loved real estate and felt there was a niche for the expertise I could provide with a law degree so in my early 30's I entered real estate and now at 38 I am the top agent in the country (I have sold $210 million year to date in 2011). I only mention this because I would not be enjoying this success without my law degree from Berkeley.

Law school was a great education for me and has paved the way for my doing so well in real estate (if I sell over $275 million this year I will have sold more in a year than any other agent ever in America). I would not recommend entering law school without ever intending to practice law, but as my experience shows, you can successfully branch out into other fields as well.

I will be on a NBC Nightly News segement by Tom Brokaw about Silicon Valley's resurgence in the next 2-3 weeks that I will try to post, but for those interested in viewing my CNBC interview 10 days ago I have a low and high res version here:

Ken

Awesome. Thanks for still running this website despite your huge success in the real estate field.

Also, free curry?

Thank you Ken for creating this incredible resource!

TLS has definitely saved me from making some very, very poor decisions - this site has saved me from thinking that going to a TTT with hundreds of thousands of dollars in loans is a good idea. In other words, TLS taught me the common sense I need to succeed.

Best of luck with the real estate record!
