How much do apps change year to year?

I plan to apply to the schools were I am above median on Sept 1st, if I work on their available 2010 apps will I simply need to copy and paste into the 2011 application?

Most of the 15+ schools used almost identical apps for 2010 as in 2009. Essay prompts vary slightly in some when they require specific essays. The bio sections are pretty much the same.
