What did she learn? Nothing. She keeps blaming me for my "negativity," and also cites her late applications as the reason why she was rejected.
She is determined to get HLS next cycle. She's toying with the idea of a retake.
Her fucking scumbag, weirdo boyfriend keeps pushing her to become a lawyer, because the idiot thinks it will make her rich, and he'll be able to freeload for life. He also wanted her to become a rapper, when that was her fad.
Her father is never home, and her mother is a space cadet with no education, ambition, or helpful advice.
She's currently working at K-Mart. She makes less than $250/week. She gets into fights with her co-workers. She's basically on K-Mart probation.
She keeps injecting inapt legalese when we're talking. "Do you like this dress?" "SUSTAINED!"
What the fuck?
1. I can't believe someone got rejected from HLS and Cooley.
2. The real issue here is: Why are YOU friends with this girl?

That's what I'd like to know. She sounds like an utter waste of time.

+1, although sounds like the lulz are never ending with her and therefore it could be worth the minimal friend investment

I probably couldn't be friends with someone who got a 138. That would be a deal breaker.

1. Just to clarify, HLS = Harvard Law School. Right. Not Hamline Law School. She is "so over that shit." Yep.
2. Friends since 2nd grade. Our mothers are friends too (another weird relationship). I do like her, but sometimes her ignorance is brutal.

Yes! With a KMart DS and a carefully crafted LSAT addendum I give her a strong consider

Dear Lord. I don't think a 2.6/138 will get her in anywhere.

She's going to retake to 2.6/178. +40 on her LSAT. It's doable right?

You're trying to sell coaching to someone who makes $250/week?

Oki doki. Just wanted to help. She can still become one you know. She just has to step it up a bit.
Also, wasn't going to sell it, just wanted to help someone out a bit. Give something back. You know? Oh well, Who is John Galt?

Well I assume that any Rand will do.
But, more importantly, who is AnyRandChangedmylife?

Paul Krugman wrote:There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year-old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.

This, this Paul Krugman fellow. He is a genius.
I'm glad I listened to Atlas Shrugged on my walks to and from graduate school instead of actually sitting down and reading it. I zoned out a few times, but that ended up being okay.

That tends to be the case with Nobel laureates.

Is it possible to score a 138 without being mentally deficient in some major way? I mean that's only 18 points over the lowest possible score (120).
Like I know that sounds mean, but HOLY @#$& I don't know anyone with that low of a score. Heck, I think I could score that on a PT after 3 days of no sleep, 10 bottles in, and with a hot girl suckin' on it.

The situation is just sort of sad, but the 'SUSTAINED!' made me lol
+1, I seriously lol'd so hard when I read that, don't know why but it struck me

My favorite is when I'll complain about her being stubborn over something, and she'll eventually relent with "Pff, whatever girl, if it pleases the fuckin' courts..."
I like the plural aspect.
