Slightly easier admission?
http://www.abajournal.com/news/article/ ... -year_low/
Given the above (and last year's general median gpa and lsat increases for the t14 presumably the result of an increase in apps), would it be appropriate to expect the opposite for the numbers of next years class: Medians, 25ths, 75ths, will be lower?
Thoughts?

No, because schools have just been cutting class sizes instead of accepting lower numbers.

Its just what I've been reading from different students of different schools who find out from the schools themselves. It's also come via admissions decisions (ie Admissions are tough this year, we're reducing our class size from x to y). I know personally BU is cutting about 30-40 spots

I know Texas has been slowly cutting class sizes for 2 years and I expect them to continue. They've gone from about 415 to 380

There was some article that stated the while applications were down, student quality had gone up. Sorry I don't have the link.
Also, it's no secret that cutting class size is the easiest way to move up in the rankings. This is because in doing so, it affects multiple areas of the ranking categories (ratio/lsat medians/gpa medians/expenditures).

Ya, but one or two schools is not a representative sample size, nor is speculation (or general feelings of toughness) any sort of proof that this is a happening trend.Aberzombie1892 wrote:There was some article that stated the while applications were down, student quality had gone up. Cutting class sizes can mean less tuition money, which is probably more important than rank for many schools.
