Question on the rankings
So my [future] school climbed a few spots. This means for every spot it moved up I exponentially get a better education and more job offers starting the night the rankings are released right?

Re: Question on the rankings
Employers actually look up 0L's who've been admitted to schools that climbed up above the firm's "threshold ranking" and send them job offers on the spot.things fall apart wrote:So my [future] school climbed a few spots. Didn't you get a few offers already? Might wanna enroll in 0L prep, employers troll 0L's registered for those too.

I read that employers compare the ranking of your school when you were accepted to the ranking when you graduate to make sure that you weren't just riding the school's wave of success.

Also, if you were on law review, firms look at the change in "scholarly impact rating" during your tenure.
Finally, if your school's ranking drops below the firm's "threshold ranking", you're out the door. Sometimes even partners get nudged out the door along with their millions in steady, portable business.
