HELP LSAC 1s year GRADES PLEASE ANSWER

I've just been told by my uni that they put all the years on my transcript, my first question is do you think that theres anyway i can get them not to do this?

Yet, my main question is whether or not, lsac will factor my first year results (even though they do not count overall) into my degree classification i.e. im on track for a 2.1 this year but i know with hardwork my tutors have said that in second and third year i could get a 1st, but is highly unlikely that they wont give on to me this year, as they don't give them out in first year?

No, I don't think your university is going to lie for you. As someone who has an incredibly low GPA, let me be the first to tell you this: own your GPA. If there's an exceptionally good reason for low grades, present that to schools and they will take it into consideration, but don't expect your school to cover up your past for you.

Erm, sorry i think your mistaken, why should i have grades counting to my degree, when they didn't even factor in or count towards any classification, so i wouldn't really call it lying. I am owning my GPA, the modules that i've actually worked for that WILL count towards my end result.

Students from UK (like all other international applicants) receive evaluations of their GPA in a verbal scale of "Superior / Above Average / Average / Inadequate", so you will not have a traditional GPA, but one of those evaluations. Evidence indicates that if you graduate with a 2.1, you will be considered "Above Average", which drops you out of the race for YHS but does not really matter anywhere else, given you have a good LSAT. HTH.

Also, you need to stop making threads about this. The answer isn't going to change.

So if i were to get a 2.2/2.1 first year and high first in second and third years, would this most likely be a superior?

Seems likely, but I do not know the exact scale they use of course. I am speaking based on highly anecdotal evidence. But try doing that in any case, you would have an "upward grade trend" which is cool, according to TLS.

If I could do it all over again, I'd just take a crapload of very easy classes in community college over the summer BEFORE you get your degree. Every A or even A+ will count. If you take enough, you can offset your terrible GPA.

OP, just for the record, this is not TCR in your case. While this is excellent advice for US students, for you:

1. a 2:1 is not a terrible GPA. A 2:1 in your first year does not count.
2. As of this year, LSAC does not give a US GPA to students who completed US coursework but received their degrees from international institutions.

I think this thread has been answered (just saying).

Sorry I'm getting really confused here I know a 2.1 is a good grade, but I really want a first overall upon graduating.
