UDC-DCSL is a TTTT, but their application is brutal, and time consuming.....

I contemplated applying to Irvine, but the application seemed rather time consuming and required a few Irvine-specific essays.

Yale because you have to do a bunch of questions on another document & the 250 word essay and UCLA come to mind.

Northwestern - you have to think about it already in October, and you have to ask your recommendations for the CPE thing, and what if you're NOT progressing?

In order of PITA status:

1. Berkeley - Luckily, I didn't have the grades to apply.
2. Pepperdine - GTFO, like I have time to write a damn personal statement on the Christian Mission there.
3. Cincinnati - I don't care how many fee waivers I get, there is no way I am looking up parking tickets from like 1999.
4. Rutgers - So, you want me print out the signature sheet, sign it, and mail it in with a check for the application fee? Instead of using LSAC, got it.
5. Syracuse - Not interested in writing a personal statement about the glory of attending a world class institution just for the option of scholarship money that would bring the cost down to 50k a year, or whatever the heck those people are charging up there in the frozen tundra.

Brooklyn is ridiculous!!!! You have to write an addendum for every time you changed your major explaining why you changed your major.

TX Tech was: No LORs accepted, but 2 EVALS required, minimum. And you had to print, sign and mail a certification statement plus the $50.00

Emory because they require you to disclose traffic and parking tickets, with specifics (not an issue for me but if it was I'd be annoyed as hell)
UCLA cause it's just a terrible design
UC Irvine because you'd have to shorten your PS by a lot and write a short essay

This applies to at least half of the schools I applied to. Bonus points if the app doesn't import the common form correctly.

Yeah, for real. I felt like their app was a serious pain in the ass.

man, it was brutal trying to cut stuff out of the personal statement and fit the 500 word limit.

Damn, I had trouble cutting to two pages, which was still like 950.

Oh and Cardozo. I checked the "yes" box for academic probation. It was for a semester of bad grades in community college in 2005. They want me to mail and sign the dean's certification or else they won't review my application

Columbia does the same. I sent it to Columbia and withdrew from Cardozo.

Penn, Mich: you're not special, and I'm not writing extra essays. If other schools can make a decision on me without them, so can you.

Edit: that might just be "brutal" to me because I hate essays.

UNC was pretty long too...4 questions, and from what I've heard, the optional ones aren't really "optional," especially for out of state.

I didn't apply to Vermont Law, but looked at the application (I live down the road), and it seemed stupid and miserable.

Why George Mason's pissed me off. Seriously? You want to know all about me but only in 500 words or less? That isn't testing how clear and succinct I can be. That's the adcomm being lazy.

I just found out the lowest word limit for all the schools I applied to and wrote it to that. When it increased from 500 to, say, 750, I was loving life! Longest statement was two essays for UNC combined into two pages (including signature)!

Oh yeah LOL @ Miami. One of the essays asked you to discuss any major writing assignments/experience and shit. As if...the 400+ person class also solidified my decision...

If you applied to miami you must have applied to FSU. You can't possible think miami's app was worse than fsu's

No haven't seen FSU's, but Miami's was still more of a pain in the ass than it has any right to be.
