Seriously bro, ditch this chick. Remember, you don't just marry the girl, you marry her family too. For real, ditch her and find a new girl to take to slamsboro/pound town/pile drive city/bonesville/ect.

I agree in part, with a specific dissent. Tell her that you're in a relationship with her, not her family. Tell her that if she can't mature and stop being at her parents' beck-and-call, she needs to find somebody else. Regardless of her reasons for going to law school, tell her that you want a relationship with an ADULT, not a semi-adolescent who is psychologically dependent upon her parents for her motivation and life choices. If she's offended by that, GOOD, maybe it will inspire in her some personal reflection, which, even if she breaks up with you, will benefit both of you.

Tell her that it is UNACCEPTABLE and that you will REFUSE to listen to her when she says "my mom said that I should...do X" The moment someone says shit like that, their fully functional adult credibility drops to 0.

The thing is, she seemed so much more mature when we first started dating. I am going to try to make it work. I will keep this thread up to date.

I wonder the same thing. Why wouldn't they care about the reputation of the school she attends?
She much rather get into a relatively easy graduate program at a name school than at a TTT law school.
