Degree GPA v. Cumulative GPA
I transferred between two different schools and changed my major. My degree GPA is much higher than my cumulative GPA as reported by LSAC. What will adcom's do in regards to the disparity (i.e. average them, only look at cum. etc.)? Thanks

LSAC cumulative is really all that matters most of the time.Trooper12 wrote:I transferred between two different schools and changed my major. Damn. I was hoping that the schools might take the degree GPA. Do you think that they report to USNWR the higher one to enhance their rankings?
Thank you for the quick replies.

Fair enough. It just that I heard that there has been alot of shady practices involved in numbers reporting to increase their school's rankings. I guess this is not the case.

Re: Degree GPA v. Cumulative GPA
On other threads here on TLS it has been stated that a few schools utilize degree GPA. The University of Colorado is the one that seem to be mentioned most often, but a few others have been mentioned such as University of Vermont & Seattle University. Even if there are a few more it is likely a fairly short list.
