Hello everyone. My mother has had four children in the past five years and I have contributed significantly to taking care of them. I have spent every weekend and at least two weekdays home, caring for them each week (20+ hours/week). I was considering listing it on my resume under my "achievements" section or something like that but it seems inappropriate.
I was also considering writing an addendum but my GPA is good (3.81) and my lowest semester is a 3.67 so it is hard to point to an exact area that they affected. It did, however, result in me taking an average of 14 credits and having to take 5 years to complete a double major.
Is this addendum/resume worthy? I think it is important for adcomms to know as it is extremely important to me but I dont want to seem like I am milking my family situation. It really prevented me from getting involved in ECs and from taking on too many responsibilities in general. I already finished my personal statement and there was no room for it there unfortunately as the topic was completely separate from my family.

Addendum - maybe but it should concise and as well written as a PS
Resume - No, thats an awful spot for it

If you couldn't work that in to your PS, work that into a DS.

Yeah, A DS would be a great place for that if you didn't include it in your PS.
