Does an "internship" count as employment?

Postby URMdan » Thu Dec 16, 2010 2:28 pm

Should I list a public interest internship under the "public service activities" portion of an application or the "employment record" portion?

If it was regular hours, I would list it under employment, even if unpaid.

If it was sporadic volunteering, then public service activities.

I would decide based upon whether or not you were paid.

One was 16 hours, the other 32, both unpaid

Sounds like they lean more towards the "public service activities" section
