According to that graph above, for most top schools, like Stanford, Berkeley, UCLA, etc all made their decisions on Sept/Oct/Nov applicants by Dec 4-5. As an anecdotal evidence, there was a lot of movement in those respected school's acceptance threads in the last 3 days. If that graph above is accurate, looks like the next week or two will be followed by a series of rejections.

The next set of acceptances will likely go out toward the end of December and the first week of January. If we (the early applicants) haven't been accepted yet, it looks as though we are royally fucked.

The graphs say nothing about when the admits applied. You could be UR at some of these schools from Sept.-Feb. and still get accepted. Are your chances lower of being accepted? Probably. But you are royally stressing about something that NO ONE can give you the answer to, no matter how many times you post on various schools' threads.

If you're really that concerned, go to LSN and actually look at when people who submitted at the same time as you got accepted.

I'm not saying most applicants who applied early are rejected with the first big wave of rejections. But obviously the spike of acceptances that went out last week and this week indicates that a bulk of 50-60 spots accepted and a big chunk of subsequent week's rejections could have only come from people who applied prior to November, which is still considered early. Sure some of those applicants will survive all the way through April, but I'm not talking about the minorities here.

This depends entirely on the school. At some schools the majority of ED decisions have been made, at others not so much. The sample size for those graphs is also quite small (smaller than their LSN counterparts in many situations).

I think you're misreading the graphs. Dec 4 on those graphs means the 4th week of December, so we're fine.

Decisions are sorted in weekly increments. On the x-axis, Dec2 denotes the first full week of December, while Nov/Dec denotes the week that starts in November and ends in December. A week begins on Sunday and ends on Saturday. The tic marks on the x-axis represent the boundaries between weeks, rather than the weeks themselves, so each week's label (e.g., Oct3) will fall between two tic marks, and the data points representing decisions that came out during that week will lie directly above the label, centered between the two tic marks.
