December Lsat

How much of a disadvantage is it, with respect to admissions, to take the December LSAT?

it certainly won't HELP you taking in December. But the degree it "hurts" you varies by school. Look on LSN for specific examples as there is no hard and fast rule as to how it effects people, except that if you are very borderline it will probably hurt you compared to someone applying Oct1.

I'm also taking in December, applying as soon as scores come in, and I assume you mean the disadvantage of applying later than most. From what I understand, it hurts you somewhat in two ways, first in that you are less likely to be accepted if you are on the line (check LSN), and second in that where you do get admitted you will likely not get as much money as people with the same stats who applied earlier.

Thanks for the responses.

I took the Oct test and didn't do as well as I wanted. I decided to submit applications (all of the t14 except HYS). I then decided to retake the test and contacted all of the schools and my applications are on hold until the scores are released.

There are a few disadvantages, but nothing that a solid LSAT score cannot cure. It is better to turn in a solid application, than to rush the application with a weak PS, resume, and LSAT score. Just concentrate in taking the LSAT December and getting the score you want.
